A townhouse is located in a quiet residential area with feeling a living in Kyoto, near by the Heian Jingu Shrine

The 90-year-old Kyomachiya (Japanese Traditional Townhouse in Kyoto) was renovated into a comfortable "home." We hope you will enjoy relaxing time with close friends at the kitchen and the dining room with ample sunlight or the veranda of the Japanese-style room with a breeze.
A plenty of Japanese historic shrines and temples is located within walking distance, Heian shrine, Yasaka shrine, Chion-in temple, Kodai-ji Zen temple, Nanzen-ji temple, Ginkaku temple. Our townhouse is "Your house in Kyoto" which we want to go back every season.

We have prepared pleasant amenities to heal you from the tiredness of your trip. Our bath items and soaps come from the oldest apothecary (dispensing pharmacy) in the U.S. called “C. O. Bigelow.” They have an invigorating and refreshing aroma of lavender & peppermint. We also prepare Imabari towels with a soft texture. In addition, we have a washing machine with dryer, which is convenient for long stays.
We have carefully prepared bedding to make you feel comfortable and relax during sleeping. The soft and confortable Bed comes from the mattress of “SIMMONS”. The Futon mattress supporting your body in a good balance and the light and soft down quilt covering your body fondly come from “KYOTO NISHIKAWA”. Please sleep tight with comfortable beddings.

    ■ “Vinegar of Kyoto Nishijin Kotaro”
    This long-established shop has a history of 180 years, in which it has been producing vinegar by slowly aging the mixture of the famous water from Kyoto and domestic rice without using any additives or chemical seasoning. There are many fans of its ponzu (mixed vinegar), which includes broth taken slowly spending one night, because its flavor is extraordinary.

    ■ “Shichimiya Honpo”
    This long-established shop has a history of 360 years, in which it created shichimi-togarashi (seven-flavored spicy seasoning) with fine-tuned taste and flavor by blending red pepper with Japanese pepper, sesame, hemp seeds, etc. Its taste has been cherished by the people of Kyoto, as you can find this product exists at the kitchen of every home in Kyoto.

when can I enter the facilities?
You can enter your townhouse after 4:00 PM.
Can I leave my baggage ?
Baggage received by 3:00 PM in check-in front will be transported to the townhouse free of charge (one baggage per guest). Baggage check after check-out available. Please bring the baggage to check-in front of Kyoto station by yourself, we will take care of your baggage by 5:00PM on the check-out day. ※We cannot accept baggage sent via home-delivery services or mail services (reception and townhouse).
What time do I need to check-out?
Check-out time is 11:00AM. A cleaning company will enter the townhouse at 11:10 AM. We don’t have a late check-out service.
